SNOW FULL MOON
Origins and Symbolism: The Snow Full Moon, which occurs in February, derives its name from the typically heavy snowfall during this month in many regions. Also known as the Hunger Moon or Storm Moon, it represents the final push of winter before the arrival of spring. For witches, this moon is imbued with meanings of purification, introspection, and preparation.
Rituals and Practices:
-
Purification Rituals: This is a time to cleanse your sacred spaces and your mind. Use sage, juniper, or cedar to smudge your home and altar.
-
Setting Intentions: Reflect on your past and set clear intentions for the coming months. Write these intentions on a piece of paper and charge it under the moonlight.
-
Meditation and Reflection: Take time to meditate on your goals and inner desires. The quiet energy of this moon supports deep introspection.
-
Crystal Charging: Place your crystals under the full moon to cleanse and recharge them.
-
Candle Magic: Use white or purple candles, symbolizing purity and new beginnings. Infuse them with fragrance oils like lavender, vanilla or rosemary for an extra touch of magic.
Typical Activities:
-
Nature Walks: Even in the cold, a moonlit walk can be incredibly rejuvenating. Connect with nature and feel the energy of the season.
-
Creating Talismans: Craft protective talismans or charms to carry with you or place in your home.
-
Moon Bathing: Soak in the moonlight by sitting outside or near a window. Use this time for quiet contemplation.
-
Sharing Stories: Gather with fellow witches to share stories, experiences, and wisdom. This can be done around a fire or virtually.
-
Journaling: Document your thoughts, dreams, and intentions in a dedicated journal. This practice helps solidify your goals and track your progress.
Embrace the serene and powerful energy of the Snow Full Moon, and let it guide you through the remaining winter nights. 🌕❄️✨

CANDLE CARE INSTRUCTIONS: -
- Please light your for candle 2 hours at a time, but absolutely no more than 4 hours at a time. If you burn a candle for too long, carbon can collect on the wick and make it unstable. This can lead to a dangerously large flame, smoke and soot. So, always follow the instructions on keeping your wick trimmed.
- Trim your wick. Make sure you keep the wick ¼ of an inch long. You can use scissors, nail trimmers, or even a wick trimmer. Keeping the wick trimmed will keep the flame burning evenly over the wax and maximize the life of your candle.
- Burn your candle until the wax melts to the edge of the candle vessel. Burning the candle this way creates what is known as a memory ring. When the wax remembers to burn to the edges of the vessel, it keeps the candle from tunnelling, or burning down the centre and leaving the outer wax un-melted. It takes approximately 2-4 hours for the first burn.
- Discard the candle when there is ¼” of the wax left. We know, it is sad to let a candle go when there’s a little bit left but discarding it at this point is for your safety.
- Do not leave the candle unattended.
- Extinguishing: We advise to use a candle snuffer as this will prevent your wick from drifting off centre. Blowing out a candle is not recommended, as the liquid wax may splatter. If blown out your wick may continue to glow and emit a small amount of smoke; this is normal. Once extinguished, allow the wax to solidify before moving.
- Candle storage: Candles are sensitive to light and temperature, so store them in an upright position, in a cool dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep your candles dust free by using a damp cloth.
- Avoid droughts: Candles burn best in still air, if you cannot avoid droughts, turn your candle periodically to avoid your candle burning unevenly.
- Please follow all the safety warnings stated on the CLP label on the bottom of your candle at all times.
